This event is one of our most significant and effective initiatives for career recruitment into precision metalworking, now in its 34th year! This event honors excellence in precision machining skills among Illinois high school students. The Awards Night will feature a networking hour in which students, instructors, and family members can meet with sponsor companies to learn more about the manufacturing industry. Student projects will also be on display. We look forward to seeing you there!
For TMA Members
Award Night:
May 7th, 2026 from 5:00pm-7:00pm
Mazak Corporation - 300 Commerce Drive, Schaumburg, IL
Judging Day:
April 14th
TMA - 1651 Wilkening Rd, Schaumburg, IL
This competition is not possible without our members volunteering their time to judge our students' parts! If you or one of your employees/coworkers would like to judge, please let us know at [email protected].
We are expecting around 350 individual projects this year, so we need all the hands we can get!
TMA will provide tools, but judges who are more comfortable using their own micrometers and/or calipers are welcome to bring their own.
Please note that students are not present during the Judging Day.
