This is a third-year course for students on the CNC machining path. This class will be hands-on, with heavy emphasis on programming a CNC Lathe and Mill, along with an introductory section of Mastercam, C and Y axis Lathe with live tooling, and Multi axis Machining.

MULTI-AXIS MACHINING 
  • Probing on multi-axis 
  • 5-axis process planning 
  • Understanding 5-axis G&M codes 
  • 5-axis fixturing and workholding

C&Y AXIS LATHE 
  • Drilling with live tools 
  • Tapping with live tools 
  • Part transfer 
  • Polar coordinate interpolation 
  • Y-Axis drilling & milling

CANCELLATION POLICY:  All cancellations will be assessed a $25 Cancellation Fee. Companies will be charged IN FULL if cancellations are not received in writing, by email (education@tmaillinois.org) or faxed (847-825-0041) by noon 5 business days prior to the start date of the class or workshop. No refunds will be provided after this time. If you do not cancel and do not attend, you are still responsible for payment.
