Calibration Management

This class was developed to provide Company Owners, Quality Managers and Quality Engineers an understanding of what their Calibration Provider should be providing to minimize their invested time and prevent Non-Conformances during audits. A Q&A Station that will be manned by ATI Metrologists, will be set up in the room for more “specific” customer questions on Measurement & Calibration “after the presentation”.

Die Quotation

This class 4 hours class will teach you the importance of knowing your customers requirements and how the form/ fit/ function of item being quoted affects cost. Class content also includes knowing your capabilities/ availability. Students will learn about ball-park quotes vs final quotes. We will cover keeping track of quotes and converting the quotes to actual jobs as well.

Die Design 

The main focus of this 20-week hands-on class will be on designing progressive dies. Students will also learn about other types of dies including blanking dies, single hit form dies, compound dies and transfer dies. Each student will design numerous strip layouts and at least one progressive die throughout the course of training and more.

Effective Contract Negotiation 

This course focuses on the entire commercial process, with emphasis on contract negotiations, for those companies selling to larger OEM customers. Attendees will learn how to strengthen their quotation process and learn all aspects of negotiating a sales agreement with their customer:  the right timing, establishing priorities, participant roles, negotiating tactics, and assessing the results before and after the negotiations.  In addition, each attendee will have the opportunity to have a Value and Risk assessment done of an existing contract as part of the course fee.

The main goal of this course is to bring all participants to an operational level of understanding of all GD&T concepts, applications, and inspection. The course will focus on actual industry drawings utilizing GD&T concepts.

Advanced G-Code Programming (CNC Level 2) 

This 16-week course will build upon topics covered in the introductory class. Using both a CNC mill and CNC lathe, students will learn advanced G-code techniques in this project-based class. Students will select proper tooling, make fixtures, write, run and verify G-code programs, and inspect to print specifications. Students will also work through a series of operational problems created by the instructor. The course features a specialized curriculum with new part drawings. Students will be prepared to acquire NIMS CNC credentials after completing the course. Successful completion of the introductory course or instructor consent required before enrolling.
